In Love with Katikies Hotel Santorini

Think bright and chilled, Katikies hotel is one truly amazing spot in Santorini. And myself and hubby had the pleasure of experiencing this in live mode and loved every bit of it. I fell in love with the incredible pool area and jaw-dropping caldera views. Not only that, but Katikies white walls and sugar-cube cottages is one of a kind.

Location

Experience pure luxury in Santorini. Located in an exceptional setting in Oia, Greece. 300ft above sea level in the cliff-top village of Oia. Katikies is located just off the main square. Not only that, but the hotel is close to the bus station as well as taxis. Few minutes walk to all the action in the city, including; designer stores, independent boutiques, restaurants and bars. Furthermore, Katikies is just 15 minutes by car from Santorini International Airport.

Service & facilities

Liz Olusesan Katikies Santorini Hotel Review

Staffs are friendly and pay attention to detail. It’s not easy maintaining a super clean environment with white painting. But, the hotel maintenance team painted almost everyday to keep those bright white surroundings flawless at all times. I must say Katikies is perfect for honeymooners and couples who’d like to take some time off and chill. Although, there weren’t lots of facilities at this hotel but the infinity pool is like none other. They also offer a selection of fine dining options, indoor Jacuzzi, sunbathing deck with open air Jacuzzi and a small library with internet. In fact, overseeing the beautiful mountains and sea was just enough for us.

Food & Drinks

Katikies Santorini Hotel Liz Olusesan Breakfast

Seltz Champagne Bar and Restaurant for bites like the incredibly famous wagyu burger. While the Pool Bar is a lovely spot for lunch or dinner. Mikrasia Restaurant on the other hand sets a four-course set menu (€95pp) of gourmet Greek fare, think boureki and atzem pilafi in a fascinating setting. A delicious spread of local honey, cheeses, eggs, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit juices and even Champagne for breakfast. You can go from full English breakfast to American real quick. And all can be enjoyed from your private terrace overlooking the ultimate view.

Overall

Katikies design and décor delivers a captivating, enticing atmosphere offering this beautiful view while maintaining an aura of luxury. Although the hotel is seasonal, closed from November to April. No spa onsite, however, you can access a spa at the Katikies’ sister property, which is a five-minute walk away and Children under 12 are not permitted at the Katikies hotel.

With this in mind, Katikies Santorini is somewhere I’d love to visit again. If you’re looking for a relaxing spot to visit this summer, this is the place for you.
